Main area of disappointment and criticism – I think the portrayal of the female lead Psychiatrist intern was a disappointment, gestamento very superficial, presenting her as vulnerable, fragile woman, tormented by her traumatic history which really didn’t need to be relevantand failing in anyway whatsoever to perform her job effectively, which, I think detracted from the book and wasn’t necessary at all.
The mixing of first and third person limited narratives didn’t work.
The story weaves together conspiracy theories regarding everything from ancient Mayan prophecies to Genesis’ reference to the Nephilim to the question of who built the pyramids to the seeding of human life by aliens.
