This means that you learn the elements of logic while also learning key ideas from the history of philosophy. What makes this a 5-star book is the wealth of examples taken from a huge array of primary sources. The section on logical fallacies has forever changed my outlook on the world.

It is amazing to see how a visual representation of a syllogism can make clear what at first glance seems unintelligible. Published June 30th by Editorial Limusa S. Overall, this is an excellent book that clearly presents the key concepts of college level logic.

The final chapters are quite rigorous. The previous sections you can probably teach yourself, but I would recommend a skilled professor to walk you through the complexities of symbolic logic.
